It was 21 Degrees Celsius on on the 5-th of February at the KTEL Herakleion (Central Bus Station). It's Winter now and it was quite welcoming, having a much warmer day and seeing the Sun, for a change. Hopefully this good weather will hold because Winter, has not been that pleasant. One can catch busses from this station, to almost anywhere in Crete ( it depends, you might have to catch a connecting bus, if you're going somewhere further or isolated). We caught the bus from Herakleion to Anissaras (close to Hersonissos; approximately 23 Kilometeres to the East of Herakleion, on the coast). It cost 5 Euros for two people, not too bad considering the high fuel prices. With your own car it will cost you 10 Euros to go there and a Taxi charges, 30 Euros. The bus is the best option, unless you like to walk, long-distance, he, he. :-)

Here is a video from Youtube and you can see that the busses are comfortable and luxurious. It's the only video I could find at this stage, excuse the content (wedding celebration), but it's fun nonetheless and you'll get the idea. Thank you:

The website of the Central Bus Station of Herakleion. I could not get it in English, you'll have to use your own translator. The website seems to be having technical problems. You'll get some sort of idea of what's going on and I hope it helps a bit:
